happy halloween

Hope you all had a ghoulishly spooktacular night.
We were in the Prior (what the locals affectionately call Arnprior Ontario)
I must advise you that this post is very Daphne as a flying unicorn heavy  ---- a Nona perogative

We had a wee chat with the gang in Alberta

 

 

Then it was time to go Trick or Treating

 

Well .. Miss D doesn't really get it yet but she loves putting on those walkin or should I say runnin shoes and go up and down the front side walk

Which is what we did ..... LOVED it!!!

Coming inside was a completely other story ...
HATED it!!

But once inside all toasty and warm and the house smelling deliciously like Bapa's pizza all was
better

A piece of pizza and a couple lil chocolate bars its was time for bed

 

 

Unfortunately there were only 5 little T and Treaters

Oh well there are lots of treats leftover.

I think Will may be taking a few for his lunches this week :-)

Once Miss D was in bed we "played" a new board game ----Settlers of Catan
I think once we get the hang of it it will be a lot of fun..
Drank too many apple martinis and stayed up a little late.
But as usual it was a fun night

And today is Will's birthday so we had a coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast.
HB and I left soon after breakfast.
Got a dinner party to rest up for...

Halloween has Begun @ 44

Every year I say the same thing and every year I get caught up.....
No More Halloween decorating for zAzA
Well as you can see ......

Of course it isn't quite as much as when my girls were kids
Graveyards. Haunted pianos. Ghouls hanging from plant hooks. Witches fingers.
 Spider webs EVERYWHERE!!! Skeletons draped in the gardens. Lots of pumpkins.
There was no stopping us.
I am a wee bit more tame at least right now.
Who knows what will happen as grand children get older.
I made Halloween cookies to send to my wee ones Miles and Riley in Alberta

 and of course a few for Miss D.

thanksgiving and a wee fall tour

Our van N's decided they wanted to have the day to themselves .....

I love all the to dos involved in having a big holiday meal but I guess I will have to wait now until Christmas.

Since our oldest girl and her family including our precious kiddos are in Alberta the holidays take on a different hue.

Lets just say Nona and Bapa are REALLY looking forward to spending Christmas with our lil Miss D .....

 

 

It has been a very strange few weeks weather wise here in Ontario

Mostly rain with a couple days hiccup of summerlike weather.

 

 

HB is still working in Toronto all week only home on the weekends.

So garden cleanup has been left to me for the most part.

We have way too many gardens and with so much rain it is taking me quite a long time to get organized.

I am getting er done tho.
