Weekend Wanderings

Off to see my sweet girl today and her rotund little belly. I have made a chocolate cake this morning to take for dessert. Got two flavours to try out on the babys room walls. Frozen pizzas and the All Star game!
Yesterday Iain and I went to check out the cottages I found online. Whoa! Here we come!! They are fantastic and Kathy and Don are such a nice couple. Yup I think a week on Palmerston Lake is forthcoming.

On our way home we saw a barred owl sitting on the hydro wires and then saw a bald eagle perched in a tree at the bridge on Mcneely Ave. A few common mergansers were there too.

Felting a cat nip toy

Knit a small swatch using #4 needles with 100% w00l
Agitate (rubbing together) in really hot water dunking in cold water between agitations

Starts looking like a piece of felt!

Ta-Da ( I should have agitated more--- next time)

Sewn into a shape and stuffed with cat nip

Enjoy!

Another Tuesday

Just home from my chore day and boy do I need a cup of tea!!
I got the paint samples for the babys room (blade and asparagus) and high gloss black for painting the tea trolley.
Bought myself a pair of snazzy "runners" for Costa Rica. BTW looks like I have found a terrific person to cat sit the brood while we are away. And have found some Valentine's decs for my outside display pots.
I also took my car thru the car wash (as it is plus 1 today). Lookin good!!
Bird feeders are topped! Crunchies out for the feral cousins!
Now I can enjoy my cup of tea and do more work on the baby blanket.

Good Deed?

So I thought I was being a good kitty neighbour and put some kibble out for a few of the feral cats. They are related somehow to Addy and Lucky and looked so cold peeking in the patio door. I'm not sure how much the cats are getting but I seem to be quite popular with the squirrel population!

Need I say more
